Too many drinks, is there such a thing?
It's always fun to try and solve the puzzle of which drinks you had the night before. Of course, it's only possible if you're not hungover because if you are, chances are you don't want to think about drinks. Not sure if my wallet can afford many more of weekends like this though.
Oh yeah, did I tell you? I'm going crazy without a tv!!!! A tv needs to turn up on craigslist and come into my possession, stat. It's like one of my lifelines has been severed; along with my cell phone, that's like a double whammy. Although, honestly, I don't even use the cell phone all that much, but something tells me that's going to change.
First day of class tomorrow, kinda anxious. 9am-5:30pm...brutal. Alright, time to go get ready and rest up for a loooong day.

I'm a New York City Boy
OK, so I'm on the east coast. Still getting settled into my dorm room. Yes, dorm room, what was supposed to be an apartment is really just a dorm room :( Only 9 months of this though. Erica is making it a project to decorate and whatnot apparently there will be a theme of blue and green. It sounds rather metro. But that'll have to wait until I unpack everything and get things situated. Right now, it's a war zone. For example, this morning, I woke up to turn off what I thought was my alarm and as I rolled out of bed, I stepped on my shoe box (the new Aldo's) and then to add insult, it wasn't my alarm but in fact, the fire alarm. Great way to start a hungover morning eh? So that brings me to my hangover, went drinking in the city (is there anywhere else to drink?) last night with my roommate Brian. Definitely had a lot to drink between the shots and jello shots we started with, and then the stellas in between before some anonymous girls bought us a round of bud lights followed by another shot to cap the night only to drink some more. Then I trekked the 16 blocks home. And then it's weird, do you ever feel like you remember everything up until you get home, at which point you let go or whatever and can't remember a lick. And in the morning, you're like, wtf?! Anyways, I gotta unpack and put things away and then do laundry (any volunteers?).

de la ghetto
a dark lonely road takes you there
a place where you can get lost in the stars.
scared of where you are, scared of where you might end
scared of what will be, hoping someone will be free,
free to take you through ups n downs in that great big town.
hanging onto hope as it flies away
maybe it's meant to be this way
perhaps it needs to be left behind,
it's out of sight out of mind.
you may believe in fate
but you will have to wait.
the moon has set.
is it hello or is it goodbye?
it's both, with a cry.
happy to start anew
saying so long to a crew
charged with dramatism
filled with sentimentalism
saying goodbye seems like pessimism
yet all along you've tried optimism
all that you've known is in one place
hoping that you can leave a trace
wishing they'll think of you
because that's what you'll do.
8 days till the big move...not yet packed, everything's still in shambles. so much to do. so little time. AHHH!!!! am i crazy? my eagerness and excitement to go to school in NY is being tempered and hindered by this feeling of...sadness. haven't even left yet and the missing has begun. looks like i'm gonna be a mess...new york city here i come. book the shrink, i'm gonna need 'em. umm, somebody slap me and tell me to suck it up.

Guilty as charged

I'd actually prefer being in that funk than in this heat...
You know you're sore when all you can do is sit, blog, and sweat (because it's too hot to even sleep). So yeah, LB tourney was fun and memorable for various reasons. First, my last dragonboat tourney for a long time, my last time with a lot of those awesome LARDfolk, paddling is fun, tournament's are fun, and who's ever gonna forget the dunking...
First up: Coach Leon (well, kinda, first for Marine Stadium, Karen was first for Mother's Beach)

What can we say, we love our coaches...
Next up: Coach Jason (pleading for mercy)"Thanks for the help bro"
The 5 dunkers and dunkees (Jason is missing, so is Oliver and Karen)Tired from all the dunking. The End.
